Privacy

This page explains the basic data practices behind Freakycast. It is written to be understandable by users and practical for launch, not as an exhaustive enterprise privacy policy.

Freakycast collects the information needed to run accounts, power community features, secure the product, and improve the experience over time.

We do not sell personal data. We use data primarily to operate the service, maintain security, support moderation, and understand how the product is being used.

What we collect

Depending on how you use Freakycast, we may collect information such as:

  • Account and authentication details needed to sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • Profile information you choose to provide, such as username, display name, bio, avatar, and links.
  • Activity and content you create, including lists, reviews, watched history, likes, and related public profile activity.
  • Operational or device-related information needed to keep the product functioning and detect abuse or errors.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate core product features such as accounts, profiles, lists, reviews, and sharing.
  • Secure the service, prevent misuse, and investigate suspicious or abusive behavior.
  • Moderate content and enforce our platform rules.
  • Understand product performance and improve the Freakycast experience.
  • Communicate important service or policy updates when needed.

What we do not do

Freakycast does not sell your personal data. We also do not treat profile or community information as something to broker or monetize outside the basic operation and promotion of the service.

When information may be shared

Some information is shared by design when you use public-facing features. For example, public usernames, lists, reviews, and profile activity may be visible to other users or visitors.

We may also share information with service providers or infrastructure partners when needed to host the app, process authentication, deliver media, secure the service, or support product operations. We may additionally disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users or the platform.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain records tied to active accounts, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or meet legal obligations.

If account deletion is offered and completed, the account and related product data are removed or deactivated according to how the system is built at that time. Some records may persist for a limited period in backups, logs, or other operational systems.
